Horse-back riding

camp ROYAL X Reiten

Originally riding was a fast means of travelling; today horse-back riding is practiced as a sport, as a leisure activity or even for therapeutic purpose. The rider usually controls the horse by means of voice, pressure of the thighs, bridle and reins and/or specific riding aids. In order to give the rider a comfortable and safe seat, various kinds of saddles can be used.

Many countries such as Great Britain or France still employ mounted police or cavalry. From the antiquity up to the beginning of modern times, the cavalry was considered to be a fast and swift military unit. Mounted soldiers also could use their horses as a weapon, as e.g.:  the caper was used as a liberation strike. Cavalry also influenced modern horse-back riding, as many teaching methods have military origin.

We may arrange EVERYTHING for you: from a horse carriage ride up to a show horse
